Oaxaca: noticias de artistas 1680-1780
The eighteenth century had a special relevance in the city of Oaxaca. The economic bloom due to diverse factors resulted in the appearance of a high social class that was interested in the artistic patronage. On the other hand
the high religious hierarchy impelled diverse artistic works as much in the city as in the state giving an enormous palpable activity as a result in the new constructions that were carried out along the century. As consequence of everything had it an affluence of artists that worked in the city and a great visible artistic dynamism in all the manifestations of the art. The present article analyzes the details of the artists that began in Oaxaca, so much from
